Cross Country

The Modified Cross Country team ended their season at the Rye Invitational on Thursday, October 26th.  There were approximately 20 schools participating.  Once again the team did extremely well against some stiff competition.  Katherine Doyle placed 6th overall out of 125 runners in her race and 4th overall for 7th grade girls.  Harley Falasca placed 21st overall out of 260 runners in his race and 4th overall for 7th grade boys.  Thanks for a great season team and I look forward to seeing you next year!  (posted 11/1/06)


The Modified Cross Country team had a meet at Byram Hills on Monday.  The team did extremely well.  Katherine Doyle placed 1st out of 28 runners in her race.  Harley Falasca  placed 2nd out of 95 runners.  Great job team!! The team will have their last meet on  Thursday October 26, at Rye.  Come out and support the team. (posted 10/26/06)


The Modified Cross Country team had a meet at Valhalla on Thursday, October 19th.  The team continued their successful season with all runners setting new personal records.  Katherine Doyle placed 4th out of 32 girls in her race.  While Kyle McGovern, Harley Falasca, and David Remple placed 2, 8, and 9 out of 30 runners.  Our next meet is on Monday, October 23rd at Byram Hills.  (posted 10/20/06)


The Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity Cross Country team competed at WCC on Tuesday, October 17th for the League Championship.  Devin Mahoney placed 15th and received All-League Honors.  Emily Santana was the first in for the Horsemen placing 32nd.  Our next meet is on Saturday, October 21st at WCC at 1:30pm.  (posted 10/18/06)


The Modified Cross Country team continued their outstanding season at the 17th Annual Port Chester invitational meet on Friday, October 13th.  There were approximately 45 schools participating in the meet.  Each member of the team did extremely well, many establishing new personal records.  The following runners continued their outstanding season by medalling in their respective races.  Katherine Doyle placed 3rd out of 66 girls in her race.  Harley Falasca placed 15th out of 93 boys in his race.  David Remple finished 21st out of 120 boys.  Great job team!!!  Their next meet is on Monday, October 16th at Bronxville.  (posted 10/18/06)


The Modified Cross Country team had a meet at Harrison on Friday, October 6th.  This was an invitational meet with 25 schools participating (roughly 500 runners).  Each member of the team did extremely well against stiff competition.  Most of the team placed in the top half of their race.  Several runners stood out!  Katherine Doyle placed 3rd out of 151 runners in her race.  Harley Falasca placed 15th out of 192 runners.  Each received medals for their performance.  The team has another meet on Tuesday, October 10th at Somers.  Good luck team! The Modified Cross Country team had their first home meet on Tuesday, October 4th with Ardsley, Yorktown  and Mahopac.  Every member did an outstanding job!  Most notable were Katherine Doyle for finishing 7th overall and 1st for the girls, Kyle McGovern for placing 2nd overall and Harley Falasca for placing 3rd overall.  David Remple, Richie Doyle, and Gadi Langsam set new personal goals.  Great job team!!  Our next meet is on Friday, October 6th at Harrison.  (posted 10/4/06)


The Varsity Boys' and Girls' Cross Country teams competed yesterday against Nanuet and Pelham.  Danny Capo placed 3rd overall in a personal best time of 18:13.  Devin Mahoney and Taylor Zolbe were close behind placing 7th and 10th respectively.  Emily Santana was first for the Lady Horsemen placing 4th and Allie Federale placed 11th.  Our next race is on Friday, October 6th at Rockwood Hall vs. Irvington. The Modified Cross Country team opened their season with a meet at Edgemont on Thursday, September 28th.  There were four schools participating with a total of 78 runners.  Katherine Doyle finished 1st for both 7th and 8th grade girls.  Nonny Vere, David Remple, and Richie Doyle did a fantastic job, establishing personal records.  Congratulations to Adam Caspari and Gadi Langsam for competing in their first race. On Tuesday, September 26th the Varsity Boys’ Cross Country team started the 2006 season with a bang. They beat Albertus Magnus 23-35.  Dan Capo placed 1st overall in a time of 17:57.  Rookies Christian Zolbe, Alex Berger, Greg Denise & Hwa-Seung Erstling had great races placing for the horsemen.  Everyone did a great job.  

On the Varsity Girls’ Cross Country team Emily Santana placed first for the horsemen, with Allie Federle and Ana Medina close behind.  Unfortunately, Albertus Magnus was too tough for us today they won 15-50.  Next week the Horsemen have two meets at home – Tuesday. October 3rd vs. Nanuet and Friday, October 6th vs. Irvington.  (posted 9/27/06)
